I grew up in Albuquerque and have a special place in my heart for the culture and people of New Mexico. This summer I volunteered at Crossroads for Women and was able to be a part of another unique aspect of the Albuquerque community. read moreMoving Forward at the Crossroads of My Life: A Digital Storytelling Project
The aim of this project is to give the women an opportunity to share and create their future stories. It is the hope of this project that participants will be empowered to dream, create and own their futures. Participants will learn computer and technical skills as they become familiar with related software and equipment. “Moving Forward at the Crossroads of My Life” will involve four workshops in which individuals will participate in self-discovery and story development activities.

Aftercare is an important component in the continuum of care that Crossroads for Women provides. It is vital to the long term success of substance abuse and mental health treatment. Aftercare, or continuing care, is a lower intensity continuation of the support and resources offered during the higher intensity programming of The Crossroads or Maya's Place. Graduation can be an exciting, yet anxiety-provoking time for clients as they embark on a new independent chapter in their lives.
