Admission Process
The Crossroads
-
Admission Criteria
-
Women applying to The Crossroads must meet the HUD definition of homeless and have co-occurring mental and addictive disorders. Women must be clean and sober at the time of intake assessment and admission. Single women and women with children can be accommodated. However, available funding may limit how large a family can be accommodated. Teenage children are separately interviewed to ensure that their needs can be met in the program. Also required is a willingness to participate in the program, including employment or vocational activities unless eligible for disability.
-
Admission Process
-
Women seeking admission should contact The Crossroads for Women at 242-1010. A brief phone intake will be done to determine if the threshold admission criteria are met. Applicants will be contacted depending on current bed availability. When a bed becomes available an interview is scheduled and done. If accepted, a woman will then come in to do an intake assessment. Admitted clients are generally able to enter housing within a week of admission.
